Early Childhood Multidisciplinary Intervention Inc. -
About ECMI
DO YOU have or know of someone needing support for a child with behavioural needs? Whether the needs relate to a diagnosable disorder or not - we CAN help!

Our Instructor Therapists
ECMI Instructor Therapists are consultants to the program and trained by ECMI. Only individuals who truly love children and have extensive experience supporting young children are selected to consult for the program. Each Instructor Therapist must undergo a minimum requirement of 40 hrs. of Intensive Training, prior to being placed on cases. Other than big hearts, our IT's typically have post-secondary education within one (or more) of the following fields: Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, Occupational Therapy, Speech-therapy, and/or Social Work.
Our therapists are warm, enthusiastic and reliable. They are highly skilled in promoting motivation, engagement and focus.
* All ECMI staff are trained in Non-violent Crisis Intervention through the Crisis Prevention Institute and provide annual criminal background checks through Toronto Police Service.

Program Director
Jill Naftolin is a graduate of a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology from Ryerson University, class of 2000. She has extensive experience over 20 years in the field of Therapeutic Intervention with Children with Special Needs, including direct training with a few of the pioneering Psychologists in the field. Her passion for assisting each child that comes her way to reach their full potential using a multidisciplinary framework is challenged only by her love for children and the belief that in helping a child today, we are making a difference in the individials future as well as future society as a whole.
